Urban Planning- City of the Future
My vision of Urban Planning are expressed best in the town planning proposals for the development of Auroville, which are based on a concept of "flexibility in time and space"- open to inclusion of the inhabitants and an open planning process.
The galaxy city model represents (for me) a complex organization of energy and consciousness, challenging an integrating 'growing movement' from the individual to the collective, as a prelude to a new human interaction on all levels. The movement of a city taking shape in this way can only define itself in a spirit that fosters a playful evolution of innovative ways of life, open to an ongoing future process.
My architectural work concentrates on partial planned space building elements,
creating the best possible opportunities for an open display –including inhabitants, encouraging to develop new expressions, facilitating unexplored possibilities as well as a simplicity and living quality at every moment or development phase.
I design public and private space based on this architectural philosophy of consciousness, transformation and sustainability, as “creative space” or space creation for innovative living and working, interacting, sharing and communicating with each other in an atmosphere of freedom and openness, where people find a natural connection to the centre within themselves and the city centre, the raison d'être.
Desert architecture
Studies of traditional desert architecture in the research centre and their translation into contemporary life style and building materials, focused on the utilization of alternative energies. Geothermic and earth covered buildings, nocturnal radiation and passive solar energy
